After losing her mother and home in the Eaton fire, Marta, played by Raquel Brogmus, must learn how to continue school and life while feeling disconnected from her father. Through an original musical score, the film follows Marta as she navigates grief, identity, and resilience. As she begins to discover that she is transforming into a phoenix, Marta learns that renewal can come from loss. With the support of her best friend, Ruby, played by Julia Butters, and the rebuilding of her relationship with her father, played by Mick Torres, she begins to find herself again and hold onto the cherished memories of her late mother through music.
